AO2 CiTiceL: precision and reliability for measuring oxygen in exhaust gases

03 Sep 2025

The AO2 CiTiceL is an electrochemical cell designed to detect oxygen (O₂) in a wide range, from 0% to 100%, making it perfect for both industrial and automotive applications, with particular effectiveness in the analysis of vehicle exhaust gases.

Its operation is based on the measurement of the partial pressure of oxygen, which guarantees a linear and stable signal (9–13 mV in air), a very fast response time (T90 < 5 s, T99.5 < 40 s) and a minimum offset (< 20 µV). These characteristics ensure accurate and consistent readings over time.

Successfully used in the most important brands of exhaust gas analysers, the AO2 can be easily integrated into existing instruments. It is also suitable for monitoring oxygen in complex environments, where humidity and temperature can vary significantly, without compromising the reliability of the measurements.

In addition to high accuracy, the AO2 CiTiceL offers numerous practical advantages:

•    Easy integration: thanks to its 3-pin Molex connector, it is compatible with most devices on the market.

•    Long operating life: up to 2 years under standard conditions, with signal drift of less than 10% per year.

•    Stability in variable environments: automatic temperature compensation (≤ 2% between 0°C and 40°C) maintains accuracy even in the event of temperature changes.

•    Resistance to interfering gases: high immunity to CO₂, CO, NO, n-hexane and H₂, all with an impact of less than 0.1% O₂ equivalent.

The AO2 CiTiceL is the ideal solution for those who need to accurately measure the oxygen concentration in exhaust gases. Whether for diagnostic tools in workshops, engine test benches or emissions analysis laboratories, this sensor combines high performance, long-term reliability and maximum compatibility with existing technologies.
