In the float glass production process, accurately identifying the side that has absorbed the tin is essential to ensure the quality of subsequent processing steps. The TECNO TIN system by Tecnosens is a highly specialized solution designed for the detection of the tin side.
The system uses UV technology to provide a reflective optical solution, featuring remarkable compactness and highly accurate, reliable detection. It employs a UV LED source and a receiver with a UV filter to detect the presence of tin through reflectance or fluorescence. As a result of the contactless solution, the integrity of the glass is ensured.
The system typically allows easy installation on conveyors.
Tecnosens tin side system is available in two versions:

TECNO TIN-UVC: A modular version with a remote optical head and fiber optic connection, ideal for customized configurations beneath the glass.

TECNO TIN-UVC 2: A compact, all-in-one version designed for direct installation on the production line, optimized for medium range measurements and enhanced thermal stability.
The ability to perform continuous in-line measurements is a game changer and it is possible thanks to a high scan frequency and configurable analog and digital outputs.
